CHAMBERSBURG AT BISHOP McDEVITT
Game data: The Trojans head to Rocco Ortenzio Stadium to take on the Crusaders on Friday, 7 p.m. … Mid Penn Commonwealth game … Audio only on MidPennBroadcasting.com.

Tavian Ferguson

Last week: Chambersburg (2-0, 1-0 MPC) picked up a satisfying 26-21 win over CD East after trailing 21-0 … McDevitt, a very uncharacteristic 0-2, 0-1 MPC, was defeated by rival Harrisburg, 29-21.
The opponent: The Crusaders are 0-2, including a 27-7 loss to North Clarkson of Canada in their opener … The defending PIAA Class 5A champions are still loaded, even though they’re breaking in a new quarterback, Sebastian Williams … He is 25-for-42 for 239 yards, one TD and 2 picks … Top receivers are Gage Ruth (5-69) and Jontai Quick (6-49, 1 TD) … Nazir Jones-Davis leads the rushers with 28 carries for 122 yards, but Maurice Barnes (12-46) and Jerome Larue (8-22) are also dangerous.
Coach’s viewpoint: Chambersburg coach Gary Carter said, “They are a typical McDevitt team — athletes all over the field, and well-coached. But our kids believe in themselves — they believe they can win this game. We have to play with a purpose on every play. McDevitt has played two really good teams and are still ranked in the top 10. We’re going have to play every game the best we can with all the teams we have left on the schedule.”
Unsung players: CB Tavian Ferguson and LB Cooper Stockslager … Carter said, “Tavian made two great plays down the stretch in the secondary, and Cooper had a sack and knocked down a pass late. They both did some great things.”
Trojan stats: Passing — Ceagan Truett 34-for-54 (63%), 424 yards, 7 TDs, 0 interceptions … Rushing — Malachi Tasker 27-83 … Receiving — Davonte Scott 13-164, 2 TDs … Cobe Penick 8-112, 2 TDs; Isaiah Tasker 7-101, 2 TDs.

MIDDLETOWN AT GREENCASTLE-ANTRIM
Game data: Blue Raiders at the Blue Devils at Kaley Field on Friday, 7 p.m. … Mid Penn Colonial game … Live stream on MidPennBroadcasting.com.

Lane Barry

Last week: G-A (0-2, 0-1 MPC) was manhandled by Susquehanna Township, 62-6 … Middletown (2-0, 1-0 MPC) rallied from a 7-0 halftime deficit to beat Milton Hershey, 22-7.
The opponent: Wide receiver Nickayus Zenon may be the Blue Raiders’ most dangerous player, with 9 catches for 142 yards, and a score, and a 51-yard TD rush … Quarterback Harrison Ortiz is 14-for-25, 214 yards, 3 TDs and 2 interceptions … Luis Roman has carried  14 times for 80 yards, and Gavin Paul has 42 carries for 170 yards and 1 TD … Middletown allowed only 42 yards on the ground by the Spartans.
Coach’s viewpoint: Greencastle coach Jason Thurston said, “We’re feeling pretty good — we think this is a much better matchup for us than last week (Susquehanna Twp.) — they’re at another level. Middletown runs a nice office and wants to get the ball in No. 8’s (Zenon) hands, so we need to keep an eye on where he lines up. We over-pursued some plays last week, but I think we did a better job this week of reading our keys. On offense we have to be able to throw the ball more, or teams will just stuff the box.”
Unsung player: QB Lane Barry and backup Gavin Logsdon … Barry threw a pass for G-A’s lone score last week … Thurston said, “The quarterbacks did not throw any interceptions, so that was a positive. But we’ll need more productivity this week.”
Blue Devil stats: Passing — Lane Barry 7-20, 109 yards, 2 TDs, 0 interceptions … Rushing — Blake Reuter 20-156 (7.8 average), 1 td; Lars Galinanes 24-109 (4.5 average) … Receiving — Noah Shiflett 3-82, 1 TD; Galinanes 2-18.
