Chambersburg coach Ty Frelin said, “That was a tough one, and one that we should’ve had. We made some untimely unforced errors and just couldn’t recover. We did make some good plays, but just couldn’t put anything together when we needed it.”
Kasey Moser knocked down 15 kills for the Trojans (1-1, 0-1 MPC), and added 26 digs. Nizaya Hawkins produced 13 kills and 11 service points, including 3 aces.
Ava Zeigler totaled 50 assists and served for 11 points (3 aces). Lexi Poe had 13 points (3 aces) and also dug up16 balls.
In addition, Kaylie Stull made 21 digs, Olivia Shearer had 9 kills and 2 blocks, and Riley Cramer blocked 3 balls.
“CV served tough and kept us off-balance,” Frelin said. “They also put up a big block and forced us to change our swing. That’s what good teams will do, though.”
