Fannett-Metal won their third game in a row when they travelled to Rockwood on Thursday evening and defeated the Rockets by a score of 77-52.
The Tigers jumped out to a 19-8 lead after the first quarter and extended the lead to 36-17 at halftime. The Tigers put the game away with a 26 point third quarter as they cruised to a decisive victory over the host Rockets.
Broc Hostler had 23 points and 7 assists to lead the charge. Landon Arnold just missed a double double with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Evan Wingert had a solid all around game with 16 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Gage McClure scored 9 points. Jake Coffman had 4 points, 3 assists and a pair of steals while Tucker Seibert had 5 assists and 2 points. Parker Lantz battled hard in the paint pulling down 6 boards and a handful of tip outs.
The Tigers finished the regular season with a 9-13 record and a three game winning streak. They will enter the District 5A playoffs as the 3rd seed and will host Hyndman in a first round match up. In the other first round match, Shanksville will host Meyersdale. Turkeyfoot Valley is the #1 seed and Forbes Road is the #2 seed. Both teams will receive a first round bye.
