Fannett-Metal (6-10) hosted Juniata Mennonite in a non-conference game on Friday evening. The Tigers took control of the game from the opening tip and jumped to a 25-12 lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was much the same as the Tigers defense created several turnovers into scoring opportunities to build a 50-23 lead at the half. With a comfortable lead, The Tigers slowed the pace in the second half. Running clock in the fourth quarter allowed the Tigers to clear the bench as they cruised to a 69-46 home victory.
Landon Arnold posted a career-high 29 points in the game. Broc Hostler hit for 21 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Tucker Seibert posted 8 points, while Parker Lantz and Evan Wingert had 4 points each. Jake Coffman knocked down a trey and added 5 assists. Arnold and Coffman each had 7 steals in the game. Wingert had 5 rebounds, and Lantz had 4 rebounds.
The Tigers will play their remaining six games on the road, starting with a 6:00 varsity-only contest at Claysburg on Monday.
