Shalom girls defeat Fairfield

The Shalom Lady Flames won 48- 22 over the Fairfield Lady Knights! The Flames showcased their size, speed, and skill on a wintry night near Ski Liberty.

The Lady Knights launched a spirited fight, but Shalom’s balanced attack proved too much to handle. After a slow start, Addison Adams sparked the offense with two quick three-pointers, leading the Flames to a 13-point first-quarter surge. Adams, who finished the game with 18 points, set the tone early. Shalom maintained their lead in the second quarter with tenacious defense and entered halftime ahead by seven, despite a buzzer-beater three from Fairfield.

The game’s turning point was Shalom’s suffocating defense in the second half. The Flames held the Lady Knights to just 2 points in the third quarter and 4 points in the fourth. Kaitlyn Thomas continues to develop as a dominant inside presence, while Juliana Myers stepped up with a key defensive play, drawing a big charge. Adams consistently disrupted Fairfield’s passing lanes, and relentless guard pressure from Emily Rebok and Maya Lehman wore down the Knights’ backcourt.

Offensively, the Flames displayed their trademark unselfishness, making them a tough team to defend. Adams led the scoring with 18 points, followed by Lehman with 11, Thomas with 8, and Rebok with 7.

Next up, the Flames will face the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans at home on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. Come out and support the Lady Flames as they continue their stellar season!
