Southern Fulton suffers narrow loss to Tussey Mountain

Southern Fulton traveled to Tussey Mt. on Saturday evening and dropped a close, non-division ICC game 33 to 32.

The Indians (4-5, 0-1 ICC South), led 16 to 11 at half time and by 6 at the beginning of the 4th quarter but the Titans rallied to take a 1 point lead with just under a minute left.  Sam Stotler then hit 1 of 2 foul shots to tie the game.  A late foul call allowed Tussey Mt. to hit 1 of 2 foul shots to lead by 1 with 1.2 seconds left.  Southern Fulton’s Kaiden Schriever took a pass on an inbound play, getting a clean look at a 3-pointer that went in and out as the buzzer sounded.

Coach Jeremy Hann stated, “We will continue to work hard. That is what we need to do and all we can do right now.  We will work hard and become the team we want to be.”

Southern Fulton was led by Sam Stotler with 15 points and 3 rebounds.  Teagan Ritz had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 1 block.  Gaven Mellott had 6 points.  Ashton Truax chipped in with 6 rebounds.   Tussey Mt. was led by Cam Chilcote with 11 points.

Southern Fulton next plays at home against Everett in an ICC South game on Tuesday, January 7th, at 6:00 p.m.
