Blazers rout Highland View, fall to Faith

The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers piled up five goals in the second half en route to an 8-0 victory over Highland View Academy Thursday in a non-league boys soccer game.

Gage Brookens and Titus Hott each scored a pair of goals for the Blazers. Cody Frey, Stephen Shunk, Micah Ramsey and A.J. Sloan added one goal apiece. Getting assists were Landon Kellogg with two and Frey, Hott, Ramsey, Liam Wenger, Christian Booher and Turner Egolf with one each.

On Friday, the Blazers dropped a 5-1 decision at Faith Christian in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference game.

After a scoreless first half, the Blazers (5-3, 2-1 MDCC) tallied the first goal of the game early in the second half. Faith, however, responded with five straight goals.
