Southern Fulton lost to Northern Bedford County 7-5 on Friday in Warfordsburg.
Northern Bedford opened the scoring in the first after an error allowed the leadoff runner to get on base. Eion Snider doubled, scoring two unearned runs.
Mark Fitz walked, which helped Southern Fulton tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.
A sacrifice fly by Hunter Ward gave Southern Fulton the lead. Northern Bedford County flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring five runs on five hits to take a 7-4 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Josiah Bowser that drove in two.
Reece Musselman earned the win for Northern Bedford County. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and four runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking four. Paul Hendershot took the loss for the Indians.
He went five innings, giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out five and walking one.
Jett Burger and Hendershot were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for the Indians.
Ward, Burger, and Austin Mann each drove in one run for Southern Fulton Varsity Indians. Fitz led Southern Fulton Varsity Indians with two walks.
Ben Gable and Snider each collected two hits for Northern Bedford County. Aaron Bowers and Bowser each drove in two runs for Northern Bedford County.
