James Buchanan defeats McConnellsburg 9 to 6

The Rockets got on the board early in the 1st inning with Hayden Sanchez hitting a double and Jimmy Bell singling, scoring Sanchez.  Drew Crouse hit a ground ball and got on base by an error scoring Bell.

The 2nd inning was another good inning for the Rockets.  Bryson Bennett got on base by an error and he made it to 2nd on a steal.  Parker Summers, Sanchez and Bell all walked with Bennett scoring.  Jake Miller go up and hit a single scoring Bennett and Summers.

McConnellsburg made it exciting by scoring 2 in the 3rd and 4th innings, but it wasn’t enough to pull off the win.
Jimmy Bell was the top offensive player, going 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs.  Jake Miller went 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs.
Carter Hissong started on the mound with 7 hits, 5 runs, 3 Ks, and 2 BBs. Tucker Appleby came in for the last couple of innings with 4 hits, 1 run, 3 Ks, and 3 BBs.
McConnellsburg’s G Fowler, S Earley, and K Karpoe each went 2 for 4 at the plate, with an RBI.
J Cleverer took the mound first for the Spartans.  He went 2 innings, 3 hits with 7 runs (2 runs earned), 1 KO, and 5 BB.
K Marpoe pitched 4 innings, going 2 hits, 2 runs, 2 KOs, and 5 BB.
