Carter McCauley

McCauley (2-0) allowed 8 hits, but walked only one and struck out 6.

“Getting a complete game from Carter was really needed, because we have four games this week,” G-A coach Eric Shaner said. “I hope this jump starts us a little.”

Greencastle (3-3, 2-2 MPC) scored 2 runs in the first inning, added 3 in the fourth and another in the fifth.

Parker Funk went 2-for-4 for G-A with a double and 2 runs batted in, and Ethan Ford was 2-for-4, including a triple. McCauley contributed an RBI double and Briggs Remenick also drove in a run.

Shaner said, “We made some lineup changes and for tonight, they worked quite well. We did some things better, like being more patient at the plate and looking more comfortable with two strikes.”
