Southern Fulton girls erupt for 66 points in district opener

The Southern Fulton Indians (15-8, 6-1 ICC South) scored a season-high 66 points against Rockwood in the first round of districts.

Coach Wilt said, “The girls worked the ball well together. We had fabulous looks at the basket. It was just incredible to watch them play and get this win in the first round of districts.”

Harvey led with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Elder had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. McQuait had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Johnson had 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Stotler had 6 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal. Pittman had 2 rebounds and 1 steal.

The Indians will face the Northern Bedford Panthers for the district semi-finals on Wednesday night at Northern Bedford.
