DOVER — Keagan Myers of Chambersburg competed in the District 3 Class 3A boys diving championships at Dover H.S. on Saturday and placed eighth.

“I think Keagan did great,” Trojan assistant diving coach Nick Cover said. “He had some tough competition, but was focused throughout the meet and had some really great dives. His front 2 1/2 somersault in the tuck position was executed really well and he completed a new dive, a front double in the pike position.”

Myers scored a total of 312.55 points. The winner, Alex Wodehouse of Governor Mifflin, scored 489.85 points.

The top six place-winners qualified for the PIAA Championships.

Cover said, “I am really proud of the work Keagan put in this season and it shows in his form, technique off the board and his entry into the water.”

The only other area diver in the competition was Shippensburg’s Bryce Pattillo, who placed 11th with 286.80 points.
