22-2 first quarter run powers McConnellsburg to victory

McConnellsburg traveled to Claysburg-Kimmel to take on the Bulldogs in a non-conference matchup. Coach Joshua Lowery stated “To say I was pleased with our performance would be an understatement; we flew off to a huge first-quarter surge of 22-2 that allowed us to play in complete control with the understanding the Bulldogs would get some offense rolling. But in the end, we captured the win with a 66-42 victory.”

McConnellsburg (15-2) (4-0 ICC South) was led by Drew Mellott 25 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 rebounds, Dom Jefferson 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, 3 assists, Shaffer Early 10 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, Brayden Ramsey 8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal, Kade Gress 7 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, Hoyt Glenn 3 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals.
