McConnellsburg had a big second half in their home opener and defeated Cumberland Valley Christian 60-45.
Coach Joshua Lowery commented “The Blazers played us tough the first 16 minutes taking us to half only down by 3. We adjusted our defense in the second half and came out rolling defensively. Our entire team did well but our sophomore Brayden Ramsey stepped up on the defensive side to shut down the Blazers senior sharpshooter (Reese Hunsberger) only allowing him 3 points in the second half, along with our Senior Drew Mellott who just took the game over with his energy and defensive effort taking three chargers that where no calls but it set the tone for us! “
