With the win, Greencastle (14-1, 12-1 MPC) clinched at least a tie for the Mid Penn Colonial championship. A win over Gettysburg on Thursday at home would wrap it up. The Blue Devils are No. 2 in the District 3 Class 3A rankings.

Her first goal moved her past Treavor Gelsinger as the school’s all-time leading scorer, and she added 3 more goals to give her 109 for her career.

Chase Davidson

BOYS SOCCER
Greencastle-Antrim 3, Big Spring 0: The Bulldogs played a defensive formation, but the Blue Devils eventually broke through and earned a Mid Penn Colonial victory at Kaley Field on Tuesday night.

“I thought the boys played a solid game on Senior Night,” G-A coach Aric Bruner said. “Big Spring played much of the night with 8-9 players behind the ball and it took us a while to break it down. We were able to get out 10th shutout and that’s something our goalkeeper and defense take great pride in.”

Garrett Decker scored unassisted midway through the first half for Greencastle (14-0-2, 12-0-1, MPC), which has already wrapped by the division title. Caleb Baine booted in a free kick just before halftime to make it 2-0, and Cooper Noblit scored the final goal from Chase Davidson.

Keeper Ethan Ford made 3 saves for the Blue Devils, who moved up to No. 4 in the District 3 Class 3A rankings.

FIELD HOCKEY
Northern York 9, Greencastle-Antrim 0: The Polar Bears took care of the Blue Devils in a Mid Penn Colonial game Tuesday. Greencastle is 5-13, 4-9 MPC).
