Greencastle-Antrim 3, Trinity 2: Haley Noblit ripped in a free kick from about 35 yards away with just 40 seconds left in the game Monday night to hand the Shamrocks a defeat in a non-league game at Kaley Field.

Noblit scored twice in the first half as Greencastle (12-3) took a 2-0 lead. Trinity (12-3) tied the game in the second half before Noblit’s heroics late. Her last goal also tied her with Treavor Gelsinger at 105 goals — the most in G-A soccer history.

“It was a very exciting game tonight,” Blue Devil coach Chris Noblit said. “Trinity outplayed us in the second half, but Haley tied it with that free kick. She had an incredible game getting a hat trick against one of the best defenses we have faced this year.”

Lexi Nelson played goalkeeper in the first half and saved 5 saves, while Lydia Mowen made 8 saves in the second half for G-A.
