Southern Fulton finishes regular season 19-1

The Southern Fulton Indians (19-1, 15-1) completed a stellar regular season Wednesday evening by defeating the visiting Meyersdale Raiders in 5 innings by an  11-1 margin.

The Indians got on the board in the first inning when Ethan Powell grounded out, scoring Kasey Fitz.

Southern Fulton notched five runs in the third inning.   Paul Hendershot, Hunter Ward, Kasey Fitz, and Jett Burger all moved runners across the plate with RBIs.

Ethan Powell led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Southern Fulton. The hurler surrendered one unearned run on one hit over two innings, while striking out two.  Jett Burger threw the final three innings to close the game. The big righty did not surrender a hit and struck out two.

Kasey Fitz finished the day with a 2-for-3 (single and double) performance at the dish. He also swiped a pair of bases, had 2 RBIs, and scored 3 runs.

SoFo will host a first round game in the District V tournament on Tuesday, May 23 at 4:30 vs an opponent TBA.

All tickets must be purchased electronically via the PIAA District 5 ticket office…further details will be released when games are officially set.
