Fannett-Metal(7-6) hosted Southern Fulton(11-0) in an ICC match up and fell to the Indians 17-0 in three innings.
The Indians sent 14 batters to the plate in the first inning scoring 11 runs on 7 hits, three walks and a pair of errors. Ten straight batters reached base in the lopsided inning.
The offensive onslaught didn’t stop in the first inning as the Indians added six more runs in the second inning to bring on the mercy rule.
Indian starter Jett Burger got the win pitching all three innings. He had one walk, allowed one hit and had five punch outs.
The Indians had 12 hits in just three innings off Tiger pitching. Ethan Powell, Jett Burger, Dane Harvey, and Josh Morgan all had multiple hit games. Dane Harvey hit a home run.
Adam Hammond suffered the loss for the Tigers. Tucker Seibert and Logan Hall pitched in relief. Landon Arnold had the lone hit.
The Tigers return to action on Wednesday when they host Tussey Mountain at 4:30.
