HERSHEY — Shippensburg senior Dominic Frontino collected his second PIAA Wrestling Championships medal on Saturday, placing fourth at 160 pounds.
In the morning semifinals, Frontino lost a 2-1 heartbreaker to eventual champion Dylan Evans of Chartiers Valley.
After a scoreless first period, Evans escaped in 8 seconds. In the third, Frontino needed only 3 seconds to even the score at 1-1. But with 52 seconds left, Frontino was charged with his second stalling call, which awarded the winning point to Evans.
The Greyhound ace came back in the consolation semifinals to trounce Gavyn Beck of Franklin Regional, 10-1. A takedown and three back points in the first period put Frontino on his way.
In the bout for third place, Frontino had his offense checked by Andrew Harmon of Bethlehem Catholic in a 3-0 defeat in which all the points were scored in the second period.
Frontino finished with a 35-3 record.
