Fannett-Metal hosted Everett in an ICC match up and claimed a 72-60 home victory. The Tigers used a strong first half to build a 37-29 lead going into halftime. The Tigers extended the lead 53-43 at the end of third quarter. The Warriors applied some full court pressure in the fourth to cut the lead to six, but the Tigers started breaking the press which led to some easy baskets to maintain their lead. The Warriors began fouling but the Tigers held tough to close out the game with a 72-60 win.
The Tigers out rebounded the Warriors 32-21 with 11 of those being offensive rebounds that led to second chance points. The Tigers also dished out a season high 21 assists. “I thought we played a tough, physical game inside tonight, and we shared the basketball pretty well”, Coffman said .
Evan Wingert led the Tigers with a season high 24 points and 9 rebounds. Broc Hostler had 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Landon Arnold had 11 points and 3 steals, while Riley Martin scored 10 points and had 6 rebounds. Drew Goshorn added 7 points and 6 assists while Jake Coffman added 4 assists and a pair of steals.
The Tigers travel to Southern Fulton on Friday night.
