Greencastle-Antrim 61, Big Spring 45: The Blue Devils had a monster third quarter that led to a convincing Mid Penn Colonial victory over the Bulldogs on Friday night at home.

Leading 22-18 at the half, Greencastle (12-6, 9-3 MPC) outscored Big Spring 27-8 in the third quarter as Eli Sterling scored 10 points, and Adam Horst and Conner Wright each supplied 6. G-A bumped the lead to as much as 54-26 early in the fourth.

Sterling totaled 16 points, Logan Alvey scored 11, Horst added 10 and Surzano Solomon scored 9.

For the Bulldogs (9-7), Aidan Sallie scored 21 and Jake Knouse had 17.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 52, Big Spring 22: Mia Libby had a huge night for the Blue Devils, who rolled to an easy 52-22 Mid Penn Colonial victory Friday night in Newville.

Libby, a senior, had a double-double in just the first half (10 points, 11 rebounds) and ended up with career high totals in points (26) and rebounds (12).

Libby is now just 10 points shy of hitting the 1,000-point mark for her career. She would be the fifth Blue Devil girl to do so.

The rest of the scoring for Greencastle (16-1, 11-1 MPC) was split up between Ainsley Swindell (8), Haley Noblit (5), Rylee Henson (4) and Callie Izer (4).

Also, Noblit contributed 5 each of rebounds, assists and steals, Shaina Overcash grabbed 8 rebounds, Henson and Swindell each had 4 boards and Izer had 3.
