Southern Fulton hangs on to defeat NBC

Southern Fulton traveled to Loysburg on Friday evening for an ICC contest with Northern Bedford County. The Indians (3-0, 2-0 ICC) led until the 4th quarter when some untimely turnovers let the Panthers not only back into the game, but to ultimately take the lead. In the end, Dane Harvey hit 2 foul shots with 1.2 seconds left and the Indians pulled out the 39 to 38 win.

Coach Jeremy Hann commented “Ward was in foul trouble all night and when he finally fouled out, not having our Point Guard started to show itself in the 4th. Our boys showed poise though, they could have folded up but they fought it to the final seconds to overcome adversity”. Dane Harvey led the Indians with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Ethan Powell had 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Ethan Mellott had 7 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals. Jett Burger had 7 points and 5 rebounds. The Panthers were led by Jestin Fernandez with 10 points. Southern Fulton will play again at home, on Tuesday night, against Southern Huntingdon.
