Fulton County Roundup: Southern Fulton boys, girls win openers

BOYS: Southern Fulton went on the road and defeated Meyersdale in its opening game of the season 55 to 26. The Indians (1-0, 0-0 ICC) led 18 to 5 at the end of the first period and cruised to the win. Southern Fulton was led by Dane Harvey with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 assists. Hunter Ward had 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Ethan Powell had 5 points, and 3 assists. Ethan Mellott had 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. Sam Stotler had 2 points, and 4 assists. Josh Morgan, Clayton Carpenter and Paul Hendershot each added 2 points a piece.
The Red Raiders were led by M. Carr with 9 points.
JV: SF 48 Meyersdale 16, Paul Hendershot led SF with 12 points.
The Indians next play on Wednesday night at home against Tussey Mt. in an ICC matchup.

GIRLS: Southern Fulton defeated Meyersdale 60 to 48, on Friday evening.   The Indians were behind 29 to 19 at the end of 2nd quarter, but outscored Meyersdale 41 to 19 in the second half to secure the victory.  Southern Fulton was led by Sandra Stotler with 23 points and 5 rebounds.  Emma Wilson had 16 points. Rylea Lynch had 12 points. Kamryn Pittman had 7 points, and Andrea Elder had 2 points.
Southern Fulton plays next at Tussey Mountain Tuesday December 6th.
