“What a tremendous game with playoff implications,” G-A coach Aric Bruner said. “We actually started the game on our heels, but after the first 10 minutes, we started to take advantage of the midfield space.”

Garrett Decker was the man on offense for the Blue Devils, who finished the regular season with a 12-5 record (9-6 MPC), scoring all three goals. He was assisted by Mitch Lagoe in the game’s first goal, then converted a penalty kick for a 2-0 halftime lead.

The Bubblers got back in it with a PK by Matt Furlong, then Decker made it 3-1 with yet another penalty kick. Furlong closed out the scoring. Ethan Ford had 7 saves for G-A.

Bruner said, “I cannot speak more highly of the grit and determination of this team. Coming into this year we were very young and inexperienced; we have grown tremendously this season – the coaches are very proud of this group of boys.”
