Blue Devils place 2nd: The Mid Penn Colonial held a golf match at Gettysburg National on Wednesday, and once again, Waynesboro came out on top with 329 strokes, with Greencastle-Antrim in second place (338).
For the Blue Devils, Brady Jackson put together his best-ever competitive round, shooting a 79 to tie for fourth place. Cooper Swam was sixth (83), and Ben Irr and Levi Tennison tied for 14th with scores of 88.
The Indians’ Tyler Fortney was the medalist once again with his 3-over par score of 74. Shippensburg’s Mason Fogelsonger tied for fourth with a 79 and teammate Ben Horgos tied for 8th with an 85.
G-A’s Sydney Barnes had the best score among the girls with an 89.
Greencastle is 30-6 and it’s the first time the Blue Devils have ever reached 30 wins in a season. Waynesboro is 35-1 and clinched at least a tie for the division title. Ship finished fourth and is 16-20, and James Buchanan is 1-35.
