Southern Fulton eliminated in semifinals

The Southern Fulton Indians (20-6) magical season came to an abrupt end today at Mount Aloysius College as the Indians fell to the Dubois Central Catholic Cardinals 12-2.

The Cardinals scored four runs in the fourth and sixth innings as they took advantage or 4 errors and 5 walks. Cole Sansom, Ben Gritzer,  Cartar Kosko, and Blake Pisarchik each had RBIs in those frames.

Carter Hickman led the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals to victory on the mound. The bulldog went four and a third innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out one.  Sansom threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Ethan Mellott took the loss for SoFo Indians. The righthander went three and a third innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and striking out four.

Ethan Powell went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead SoFo Indians.  Missed opportunities haunted the Indians all day as they stranded 7 runners through the first 5 innings.
