GREENCASTLE — Among the graduating class of seniors this spring for Greencastle-Antrim, 10 athletes have committed to play sports in college next year.
That list includes five who will compete at the NCAA Division I level — Weber Long (Wake Forest) in track & field and cross country, Courtney Andruczk (Cal-Santa Barbara) in soccer, Avery Parks (St. Bonaventure) in soccer and Nate Kirkwood (Navy) and Jake Kumfert (St. Francis) in football.
Listed below is the entire list, plus a couple of athletes from the class of 2023 who have already made their decisions.
FALL
Football — Nate Kirkwood (Navy); Jake Kumfert (St. Francis); David Niebauer (Bridgewater); Ethan Shank (Juniata); Jonathan Redos (Juniata)
Girls soccer — Courtney Andruczk (U. California, Santa Barbara); Avery Parks (St. Bonaventure)
Boys cross country — Weber Long (Wake Forest, also track & field)
Girls cross country — Claire Coons (Millersville, also track & field)
SPRING
Baseball — Connor Rohm (Juniata)
Note: Two rising seniors have also made commitments for the following year: Rylee Henson for girls soccer (La Salle) and Mia Libby for soccer and basketball (Messiah)
