Sophomore, Ethan Mellott started the game for SoFo Indians and threw well for 5 innings, surrendering 3 hits, 1 ER and zero walks.
The Indians got on board in the 4th after a Jett Burger triple was followed with a sacrifice fly by Zach Price.
The rockets scored two to take the lead in the bottom half thanks to some timely hitting and a miscue by the Indians D.
In the top of the fifth inning, SoFo Indians tied things up at two with a Konner Pittman single on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Zach Baird was the winning pitcher for Southern Huntingdon County. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero.
Dane Harvey took the loss for SoFo Indians. The lefthander surrendered one run on two hits over two plus innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Pittman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead SoFo Indians in hits.
The Indians are back in action Wednesday as they host the Everett Warriors. A win solidifies a share of the ICC South title (w/Everett). Game time is 4:30pm.
