The Southern Fulton Indians (14-3, 13-1) asserted their will over Southern Huntingdon County Thursday night on their way to an easy 10-1 victory.
The Indians fired up the offense in the first inning, when Konner Pittman’s sac fly scored Kasey Fitz. Dane Harvey followed with a sharp single to score Ethan Powell to make it 2-0 after 1.
SoFo Indians notched three runs in the fourth inning as the Indian batters contributing to the big inning included Pittman, Dane Harvey, and Trayton Younker, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs.
Holden Stotler earned the victory on the mound for SoFo Indians. The pitcher allowed four hits and one run over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Ethan Powell threw two and a third innings in relief out of the pen.
Trayton Younker stayed hot for the Indians as he finished 3-4 and had a long ball in the sixth inning to finish with 3 RBIs.
Younker, Harvey, and Pittman each managed multiple hits for SoFo Indians.
The SoFo Indians have 3 games left with one week left in the regular season. They travel to SHC on Monday, host Everett on Wednesday, and then travel to Meyersdale on Thursday. District V Playoffs begin May 24.
