The SoFo Indians (13-3, 12-1) traveled to their rival McConnellsburg tonight and came away with a hard fought 5-2 victory.

The Indians jumped on top early in the first inning.  They were able to take advantage of a Spartan error on a hard line drive by Trayton Younker to plate two runs.

Konner Pittman (4-1) was credited with the victory for SoFo Indians. Pittman surrendered two runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out six.

Wyatt Hershey took the loss for McConnellsburg. The pitcher lasted four and a third innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out four.

Pitman also went to work in the batters box tonight as he launched a solo home run in the 5th inning.

SoFo Indians collected six hits on the day. Ethan Powell and Pittman all managed multiple hits for SoFo Indians. They each collected two hits to lead SoFo Indians. SoFo Indians was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.

SoFo hosts Southern Huntingdon at 4:30pm on Thursday in a big ICC South matchup.
