Southern Fulton defeats McConnellsburg

Southern Fulton defeated McConnellsburg 37 to 34 on Saturday evening in an ICC matchup. The Indians (16-5, 13-2 ICC) were losing at the end of the 1st quarter 13 to 6 but battled back to take a 2 point lead at halftime. McConnellsburg then battled back to take a 2 point lead at the end of 3 periods which set up a back and forth final quarter in which the Indians hit 7 of 9 free throws to win the game.

Coach Jeremy Hann stated, “They played hard tonight, shot well, and had a great game plan. Our boys battled back and did what it took to pull it out in the end. We had a hard time matching their energy and it forced us into a gut check that I don’t think we were expecting”.

Dane Harvey led SF with 16 points, and 4 rebounds. Konner Pittman had 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Tyler Mosemann had 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals. Zach Price had 2 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Holden Stotler had 2 points, and 5 rebounds. Ethan Mellott added 1 point, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. The Spartans were led by Kyle Romig with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Kole Truax had 6 points and 3 rebounds. Wyatt Hershey had 6 points. Landon Ramsey had 3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 7 steals. Southern Fulton finishes out their ICC and regular season on Monday evening at Forbes Road.
