Fannett-Metal (8-7, 7-3 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntington to take on the 1st place Rockets.  The Rockets took a 10-8 lead after one and extended the lead to 23-15 at the half.  “It took us awhile to get going offensively tonight, but in the 3rd quarter we were able to hit some shots and find the open man to tie the game at 32-32 after three quarters of play”, Coffman said.  The Rockets made a run in the 4th but the Tigers showed their resiliency by pulling within three with under 2 minutes to go.  “We got hit with an offensive foul with 1:45 left that put us in a tough spot, Coffman said.  SHC went down and scored to regain momentum, and the Tigers had to start fouling.  The Rockets would end the game with a 55-46 ICC victory.   “It was a packed house at Southern tonight and it was great to see many of our fans make the trip because they certainly give our team extra energy. Although we lost I felt we gave them a good battle.   These type of games will hopefully pay off later in the season”, Coffman said.
