Shalom Christian Academy Beats Fannett-Metal 69-60 in Non-League Contest

For the second time this season, the Flames held off a 4th Quarter comeback by the Tigers.  In the F-M  Christmas Tourney last month the Flames hung on for a 51-50 victory.  In this game the Tigers trailed 51-39 heading into the 4th quarter and they were able to cut the lead to 2 points midway through the 4th.  But a pair of back to back three pointers stretched the lead back to eight and the Tigers could pull no closer.

“The boys worked pretty hard to get back in the game, but those two three point buckets knocked the wind out of our sails”,  F-M Coach Paul Coffman said.

The Tigers were led by Wyatt Appleby with 28 points.  Ayden Warren and Luke Coffman had 10 points each, while freshman Evan Wingert chipped in 8 points.  The Tigers fell to (4-5 )overall on the season.
