Blue Devil boys put it together to roll hosts in East Penn tourney

ENOLA — The offense of the Greencastle-Antrim boys basketball team had its highest-scoring game of the season by eight points and opened the East Pennsboro Holiday Tournament with a bang Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils thrashed the host Panthers 73-35. Leading by 20 points at the half, G-A put it away when it scored 28 points in the third period.

Greencastle (2-5) will face Donegal in the championship game at 7:30 on Wednesday. The Indians defeated Littlestown 50-44 in the other game Tuesday.

“It was  good team win,” Greencastle coach Todd Stephens said.

Indeed, the Blue Devils had 11 players score, and 10 scored at least 3 points.

Conner Wright led the way by scoring 15 of his 18 points in the first half. Jackson Wright scored 10 of his 12 in the third period and Blake Shadoan added 7 points.
