Fannett-Metal(3-1, 2-1 ICC) came out flat from the beginning and trailed the Rockets 18-8 at the end of the first quarter. The Rockets pushed the lead to 35-22 at the half, and put the Tigers away with a strong 3rd quarter to take home the 68-39 victory. “I need to do a better job of having us ready coming out of the locker room”, said Fannett-Metal Coach Paul Coffman. “They just took it to us early in the 3rd quarter and we were never in the game from that point on. Overall , I was disappointed in our performance tonight.”
The Tigers were led by Luke Coffman with 14 points and 4 steals. “It was nice to get Luke back in the lineup, he played a solid game tonight.” Wyatt Appleby had 12 points. The Rockets put three players in double figures led by Lance Carbaugh with 21 points, Ethan Taylor 18 points and Nate Myers 18 points.
The Tigers will host the 46th annual Christmas Tournament on 12/28 and 12/29. On Tuesday, MCConnellsburg vs Shalom In the 6:00 game followed by Fannett-Metal vs Maryland School of the Deaf in the 8:00 game.
