“It’s great to have Ava Kalist back in the lineup. She and Kat Betris played very well on defense.”
Central Dauphin 8, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans had a tall task Tuesday night at Trojan Stadium, facing the top team in the Mid Penn Commonwealth and one of the best teams in the state, and the result was a powerful win by the Rams.
CD is 9-0 and ranked first in District 3 Class 4A. The Rams out-shot the Trojans 17-3 and had 4 corners to 2 for the Trojans (7-4-1, 4-3-1 MPC).
Chambersburg coach Corey Grove said, “CD is possibly the best team in the state this season; they’re head and shoulders above everyone they’ve played thus far. With that being said, my boys didn’t show enough heart or desire tonight. I know we are a better team than what we showed, and we look to get back on track Thursday against Carlisle.”
