HAGERSTOWN, Md. – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers won their second straight match by defeating Grace Academy 3-0 Tuesday in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference girls volleyball contest.
The Blazers prevailed by game scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-23 to improve to 3-2 overall, 2-2 MDCC.
“Behind strong serving from Regan Bard and Morgan Householder, we were able to clinch a win in three sets,” Blazers coach Carole Rosenberry said. “Grace has a good defensive team, and Regan did a good job of making sure all of our hitters got a chance to take a few swings to contribute to our total of 30 kills for the match.”
Regan Bard led the team with 25 assists and made seven kills. Householder contributed 13 kills, nine digs and three aces. Julia Waltz pitched in with six kills and four digs, Kendra Bard added four kills and five digs, and Landrie Miller served three aces.
