The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers picked up a pair of non-league boys soccer victories at the end of last week.
On Thursday, the Blazers edged Fannett-Metal 5-4. On Saturday, they ran past Rosedale Baptist of Baltimore, 9-0.
The Blazers (7-0) broke a 3-3 halftime tie against Fannett-Metal with two second-half goals. Wyatt Pine scored two goals, and Max Crawford, Mario Wiesman and Nollin Egolf each contributed a goal. Providing assists were Pine and Wiesman with two each and Crawford with one.
In Saturday’s victory, the Blazers scored 17 seconds into the game and held a 4-0 lead by the five-minute mark of the first half.
Pine scored three goals, while Wiesman booted in two goals and added four assists. Also scoring goals for the Blazers were Egolf, Finlay Smith, Josh Rowe and Nathan Minnier. Filling the assist column in addition to Wiesman were Pine, Crawford, Elias Hott, Bradley Stayman and Preston Conner.
The Blazers play a pair of difficult Mason-Dixon Christian Conference road games this week, traveling to Grace Academy Tuesday and Shalom Christian on Friday.
