Chambersburg places 4th: The Mid Penn Commonwealth held a boys tournament at Armitage Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon and the Trojans placed fourth among six teams.
Central Dauphin won with 307 strokes, while Chambersburg (2-7-1) had a score of 338.
For the Trojans, Brennan Sease made it into the top 10, tying for that spot with a 10-over par score of 80.
Also for Chambersburg, Jeremy Otto (82) tied for 12th, Jacob Bassham (83) was 15th, Ryan Corwell (90) tied for 29th, Dru Bowling (93) was 34th and Teegan Humelsine (94) was tied for 35th.
Northern York 4, Chambersburg 1: The Trojans were tripped up in a non-league match against the Polar Bears on Wednesday afternoon.
The only point scored for Chambersburg (1-4) came at No. 2 doubles, where the team of Sophie Forrester and Grace Fiegl won in three sets, winning the first set against Lin Bangs and Leah Klunk 6-4, dropping the second 4-6 and taking the third, 7-5.
Avery Wissinger lost a three-setter to the Bears’ Faith Murray at No. 3 singles. Wissinger picked up a 6-3 first-set win, but was defeated 6-3, 6-3 in the next two.
Games vs. State College postponed: A home game for the Chambersburg boys soccer team and an away game for the girls team, both vs. State College, were postponed Wednesday. The boys game will be played Thursday at 7 p.m. A new date has not been set for the girls game.
