Indians win Colonial golf match at Greencastle

GREENCASTLE — Greencastle Golf Club hosted the second Mid Penn Colonial Division golf match of the season Monday afternoon, and once again, Waynesboro came out on top of the team race.

The Indians (10-0) scored 313 strokes to win easily over the host Blue Devils (348), who put five players inside the top 10. Shippensburg placed third with 375 and James Buchanan was fourth with 432.

The top 10 individuals were dominated by ‘Boro and G-A. For the Indians, Dylan Byers shot 75 to earn medalist honors, followed by teammates Tyler Fortney (77) and Evan Stein (78).

Greencastle’s Joey Singer took 4th with a score of 82, followed by Ella Lowry of Waynesboro with 83. G-A’s Cooper Swan (87) was sixth, Levi Tennison (89) was seventh, teammate Shea Toomey tied with Vance Kunkle of Ship at 90 and the Devils’ Ben Irr shot 92 for 10th.

JB’s Larry Singer shot 93 to tie for 11th place.
