West Super Region a rugged hurdle for 3 area wrestlers

Three Franklin County wrestlers have qualified for this Saturday’s West Super Region wrestling championships at Altoona H.S.

The eight-man brackets include the top three finishers from the South Central Region (District 3) and the Southwest Region (WPIAL, District 7) and two from the Northwest Regional.

The top four place-winners of the Super Regional advance to the state tournament, which will be a one-day event on March 13 at Giant Center with eight-man brackets.

Below are the West Super Region brackets for each weight class with an area wrestler, and notes:
