Big third quarter propels Everett past Southern Fulton

EVERETT – The Southern Fulton boys basketball lost to Everett Friday evening 55 to 51.  The Indians (4-3, 3-3 ICC) came up short at the end when Everett’s Josiah Seese hit 2 foul shots to ice the game.

Southern Fulton led 25 to 23 at the half, but a 17-point third quarter from the Warriors was too much for Southern Fulton to overcome.

Josh Morris led the Indians with 23 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists.  Dane Harvey had 15 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block, and Luke Fitz added 7 points and 2 rebounds.  Zach Price had 2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks, while Konner Pittman added 2 points and 6 assists.

The Warriors were led by Brandon Mills with 10 points and 7 rebounds.

SF won the rebounding battle 21 to 9, but committed 12 turnovers compared to Everett’s four.

Southern Fulton will travel to Berlin Brothersvalley tomorrow to take on District 5’s top-ranked Mountaineers at 2:30 p.m.
