G-A boys use nice 2nd half to take down Big Spring

GREENCASTLE — Greencastle-Antrim rallied in the second half, outscoring Big Spring 41-29, to capture a Mid Penn Colonial Division boys basketball win Tuesday night.

Adam Root scored all 16 of his points in the latter half and Thomas Lewis scored 9 of his 12 in the same half for the Blue Devils (2-0, 1-0 MPC), including knocking down 4 of 5 free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

“It was another close game and another step forward,” G-A coach Rick Lewis said. “We challenged them at the half and they responded. Great energy from everyone and it was a total team effort.”

Also for the Blue Devils, Adam Murr scored 9 and Zach Cole added 8. For the Bulldogs, Jake Knouse fired in 7 3-pointers on his way to 23 points and Matthew Ward added 20.
