Chambersburg roundup: Field hockey team ties Carlisle

Chambersburg 0, Carlisle 0: The Trojans earned their first point of the season, and nearly had their first victory, but they had to settle for a scoreless draw against the Thundering Herd in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game Friday night at Trojan Stadium.

Chambersburg coach Makenzie Magnotta said, “This game was an intense battle on senior night between two teams who battled until the final whistle. It was a well-fought game between both teams. Our girls left it all out on the field and never took their foot off the gas. We went into 7 v 7 overtime and we dominated, but could not get the ball in the back of the cage.

“Our two seniors, goalkeeper Emma Moschetti and midfielder Ashlyn Barton, gave it their absolute all. Adyson Finkle dominated the middle of the field and never gave up. CeJay Coco stopped every ball that came her way. Although we’re a bit disappointed that we weren’t able to come out on top, the coaches could not be more proud of the team.”
