The Maiden volleyball program celebrated senior night Friday against the visiting Lower Dauphin Falcons.  The Maidens honored five players:  Mariah Burkholder, Brianna Gladfelter, Leah Helman, Sophia Johnson and Gracie Vaughn before the start of the varsity contest.

Waynesboro improved to 2-0 on the young season with the victory, 25-22, 25-8, 25-22.  Led again by senior duo Johnson(15 kills, 4 blocks) and Vaughn( 14 kills, 1 block).  Defensively a sound performance from Ashley Donald and Madi Boltz with 8 digs a piece.  “With this possibly the only match in the near future that our families are permitted to attend and senior night at that, I thought we played soundly.  The ladies worked hard and extremely well as a team to eliminate multiple point runs by LD. We used all our resources well in set 2, committing very few mistakes.  I know the girls were excited to finally play at home in front of their loved ones.”  Emily Channing recorded 22 assists running the offense.

The Maidens will host the Greencastle Blue Devils Monday evening with the JV match starting at 6pm.
