Frederick Force edges Blazers, 3-2

The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers battled through some tight games but wound up on the short end of a 3-2 decision against the Frederick Force Friday in a non-league girls volleyball match.

The Blazers (5-4) won the first game 25-19 but then dropped consecutive 25-22 verdicts to fall behind 2-1. CVCS won the fourth game 25-15 before Frederick posted a 15-8 victory in the deciding game.

Regan Bard led the Blazers with 27 assists. Leaders in kills were Emilee Beam with 18, Morgan Householder with six and Laurel Reitz with five. Ryleigh Timmons led with 16 digs, followed by Beam with 11 and Householder with six. Maddie Eberly served four aces and Beam added three.

Frederick won the JV game, 2-0.
