Blazers drop opener to Calvary

CRESAPTOWN, Md. – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers opened their season by dropping a 3-0 decision to Calvary Christian Friday in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference girls volleyball match.

Calvary claimed game victories of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-23.

For the Blazers, Regan Bard had 17 assists, six digs, three aces, two blocks and a kill; Morgan Householder had five kills and five digs; Sarah Vandersleen had two blocks; Maddie Eberly had three kills, three digs, six assists and a block; Emilee Beam had 11 kills, six digs and an assist; Kendra Bard had three kills, two digs and two assists; Ryleigh Timmons had 14 assists and an ace; and Niki Schussler had two kills and a dig.

Also, Laurel Reitz and Alexandra Hott added digs, and Brylee Moats had a kill.

Calvary claimed the JV match, 2-0.
