Shippensburg Rolls Over Red Land

Lewisberry—Shippensburg completed its’ regular season Friday night with a 67-45 victory over the Red Land Patriots.

The Greyhounds, 17-5, will represent the Colonial conference in Tuesday’s Mid-Penn tournament. They will face Central Dauphin, also 17-5, winner of the Commonwealth conference.

Shippensburg jumped to a 17-6 first quarter lead behind a balanced scoring attack with Collin Taylor and Jeremy Thomas contributing four points each.

The Greyhounds increased the lead to 23 by halftime, 41-18 and cruised to victory. Taylor and Thomas led the Greyhounds with 16 and 13 points respectively.

Owen Kaun scored 21 to pace Red Land. The Patriots finished with an 0-22 mark.

Notes: Shippensburg finished #5 in the district 3 5A standings and will likely face Cedar Cliff in the first round. District playoffs start February 17th. Tuesday night’s game is scheduled to be played at Mechanicsburg High. The Shippensburg girls, 13-9, will also face Central Dauphin, 19-1, at 6.
