Greencastle-Antrim 61, Shippensburg 30: The Blue Devil girls snapped out of a slump in a huge way Friday night, blowing out first-place Shippensburg in a Mid Penn Colonial game.

“We played our best game of the year tonight,” G-A assistant Scott McKeever said.
Greencastle (10-6, 6-4 MPC) had lost three straight games and four of five, but took a 17-7 lead after one period and never let up, pushing the lead to as many as 36 points. The normally high-scoring Greyhounds (9-6, 8-2 MPC) made only three baskets in the first half.
Ashley Noblit made a big contribution by holding Ship’s leading scorer, Tori Rumbaugh, to just 5 points.
The Blue Devils got 15 points from Sayge Wilhide, 13 from Mia Libby, a career-high 10 from Jenna Powell and 9 points and 7 rebounds from Lauren Pool. In addition, McKenna Rakaczewski had 7 points, 8 boards and 5 steals.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Shippensburg 69, Greencastle-Antrim 48: The Greyhounds gradually pulled away from the Blue Devils on their way to a 21-point victory in a Mid Penn Colonial matchup Friday night.

“We played well against an excellent team,” G-A coach Rick Lewis said. “I am very pleased with our effort tonight.”
Shippensburg (13-3, 9-1 MPC) led by six after one period and by 12 at halftime.
For the Blue Devils, Thomas Lewis led the way with 18 points, including four 3-pointers.
Collin Taylor totaled 18 points for the Hounds, and got help from Jeremy Thomas (13) and Isaiah Houser (10).
