Boy’s Basketball 1/22/20 Tigers Fall to Giant Opponent

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett-Metal (4-10) hosted Big Spring (Class 5A) in a non league match-up last night and fell by the score of 82-41.  The Bulldogs jumped out to a 40-24 half time lead and pulled away in the second half.  Gavin Pritchard, a 6’ 10” center for the Bulldogs scored 51 points in the game to break the single game scoring record for Big Spring.  Tiger Coach Paul Coffman commented, “We simply had no answer for him tonight.  We’ll put this game behind us and focus on our upcoming league games. “  

 The Tigers were led by Hunter Hill with 13 points and Wyatt Appleby with 11 points.  Luke Coffman added 8 points.  Other scorers for the Tigers were Colton Friese with 4 points, Darston Warren with 3 points, and Ayden Warren with 2 points.  The Tigers travel to McConnellsburg on Friday for a 7:00 varsity start.
